MOChip! A Free Community Service Presented by

The Francis Howell School District

MOCHIP is a child identification program, a free community service, provided by the Missouri Masonic Children’s Foundation, and sponsored by local Masonic Lodge and community in this area.

Each parent that has their child participate in the program will receive the following: a mini CD, compatible with the Amber Alert System, containing the child physical and emergency information, three digital photographs, and fingerprints.  Two ID cards with basic information and one photo of the child, a completed fact sheet with photo and fingerprints, and a dental imprint will be taken using a bite wafer, which also provides a DNA sample and scent sample for canine searches.

What does the program retain?  Just the parent permission slip signed by the parent or legal guardian all other materials and information sheets are given to the parent or legal guardian.  At the end of the event all data collected is erased from the computers using a secure erasure program.

Who can participate?  Any child or young adult could come up missing at anytime and this is why the program exists to assist law enforce in the finding that lost child.

When should this program be done?  As soon as possible, and it is recommended to repeat every year for children under the age of three and every two years for older children.  The latest data on each child from the parent or legal guardian is what law enforcement requires to assist in locating that child.

NJHS meeting for October will be as scheduled for this WEDNESDAY, October 17^th ,

from 3:20- 4:15 in the cafeteria. Days will change beginning in November.

Announcement for changes will be made at this meeting.  IF you are unable to attend

this meeting due to schedule conflicts, there will be no penalties.

On Tuesday, October 3^rd the Francis Howell Community suffered the loss of a great student and friend, Adam Litteken. A junior at Francis Howell Central High School, Adam was well liked and participated in many school activities, as well as in FHC’s ice hockey and roller hockey clubs. Adam will be greatly missed. For those wishing to pay their final respects the funeral arrangements are as follows:

It is with deep regret that I must inform you of the death of Adam Litteken, a junior at Francis Howell Central High School. Last night at approximately 9:10, Adam was participating in a club hockey practice warm-up at the St. Peters Rec Plex when he collapsed on the ice.  St. Charles Ambulance District paramedics treated Adam at the scene and then transported him to Barnes St. Peters Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The cause of death has yet to be determined.

Counselors are on site at the Francis Howell Central High School campus and are providing support to students and staff.

 The thoughts and prayers of the entire Francis Howell community go out to the Litteken family at this very sad time. 

We will communicate funeral arrangements once they are available.

My goal as trustee (as the goal of the others who rescently served with me)
wanted to share the money with the rest of the neighborhood  not just the
pool and tennis court area.  Probably 60% of the neighbors didn't go to the
pool or tennis courts on a regular basis and didn't know where their money
was going  besides bills ( ie.,lights grass cutting etc.)   There are 3
areas that needed help
SIGNS, CUL-DE-SACS,- and ENTRANCES.  Don't get me wrong, I love the pool and tennis courts.  Thats where we made friends and friends became family,but there needed to be a balance.  We worked on  signs for months ( I did for years) I met with state people and any sign company who would meet me.  The sign issue was a done deal before the new trustees took office.

All that was needed to be done was a check for the rest of the streets
fingering off of Country Ridge Dr.,  (The job was done in 3 phases).    That
way I had leverage with Stone Sign Company to complete the job perfect.
Which by the way they were wonderful to work with and I would highly
recommend them to anyone!   The" last phase bill "was given at the first
trustee meeting w/new trustees and Steve Venker in April or  May  for all
streets to be completed and look the same on June 1,2007.  I have made
several attempts by phone and also have gone to some meetings to get results or find answers.  My hands are tied, please call the new trustees. Thank you again for your kind words and support!!
I will attend the annual yearly meeting with the rest of you,  Take care!

The Homecoming parade and Powder-puff game will be on Wednesday, September 26th at 6:00 p.m.  We will start with the parade, which leaves from the student parking lot of the school, makes a right onto Hwy. N, turns right at the stop sign, and eventually wraps back around to the school by passing behind the Old Cottleville Town section.  The Powder Puff games will take place right after the parade.

There will NOT be a Bon Fire this year.

The court will be introduced and the Queen and King crowned at Friday's Homecoming game (this is a change from previous years.)

Saturday evenings dance begins at 8:00 p.m. We ask that students NOT be dropped off early.  The dance will end at 11:00 p.m.   The Homecoming dance is Semi-Formal (long or short dresses that are school appropriate, please).  Tickets will go on sale Monday, 9/24 during lunches for $12.00 each,  for $20.00 the price includes a Homecoming t-shirt.   NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.

Students will need their ID’s to buy tickets.  They will also need their ID’s once they arrive at the dance.

Any student bringing a guest that does not attend this school must pick up a form from their principal and turn that completed form back into their principal prior to purchasing their tickets.
